Enemy - Bestiary List

Final Fantasy 13 will have an impressive array of enemies to come. Scope out the various ones that are currently out. They are mostly indentified from various released video clips and will post more as SquareEnix released more information over time.

pulse soldier

Soldier A

A very common Soldier found in most Final Fantasy games. They carry either a weaker sword or a low level end gun. They currently use a machine like gun for a weapon that uses the element of lighting. There is little information on who these Soldier are, but most likely serve either a Government or a League organization.

soldier b

Soldier B

These Soldiers appear to be slightly stronger. It's possible to see that they use a baton as a weapon along with an lighting element used as a source. The structure of the helment is different than that of any Final Fantasy Soldier and the marking of the armor indicate a possible more elite type of Soldier.

Beast

The beast is a type of enemy found commonly in certain types of Final Fantasy games. The use the lighting element to serve their purposes. They appear to a combination of a certain type of hybrid animal and possible used in as an attachment to the Soldier units.

Behemoth FF13

Behemoth

The dreadful behemoth can be seen here. Always a powerful enemy found a vast array of Final Fantasy games (including FF2), the Behemoth is a tough monster with purple tough-like skin.

Flying Robot

Flying Robot

This robot is seen in the E3 2006 trailer. It faces off against Lightning right at the end of the trailer, we are yet to see it in action. However, it peruses the train which lightning is on, so we assume that it is targeted for her. It has large Buzz-saw like saws for claws probably for cutting through metal to get to its target, then mincing them for a quick death.
